As a Platinum owner I have a huge concern with removing our benefits, whether you feel it effects me now or not. Many devices have been used to convince me to be a Platinum owner, most of which were not appealing at this time but made sense for retirement years when my daughters (who are deeded owners) will need more points than we need today. Cancellations are just part of the reason being Platinum, looked appealing. You have the right to make changes and I understand that but I have rights also and believe me buying more points when I get closer to retirement doesn't sound as appealing as it did. Why, because I have no idea what you will change next. I do not cancel 10 times per year but certainly liked the protection I had for later. The folks that caused you to feel the need to make a change was not me in any way, I don't rent points so I can't add the cancellation fee to make up the difference, which is all that will change by you implementing this. Does it always have to be about the money? I never would have believed it. Please don't ask me to refer people to your organization under the guise that I will get money for my MF's because I think more of my friends than to recommend them to a company that makes such a change without considering the overall damage they are doing to a very nice timeshare company. Why would you not grandfather current platinum owners? Another unexpected change was a few years ago I was told that I could convert the value of my points to a condo in Lake Lure which in turn could be sold to cash out of my investment. That branch was sold out or closed and that door quickly closed for me. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I got to retirement but it was nice to feel I had options if I didn't want to travel as much. If this company wants to remain a viable option to millennials you may want to have exit strategies so they don't feel trapped.

I, too, was considering converting my points toward a Bluegreen community until that was done away with. What are we going to lose next? We were told many times that when we no longer needed it or our children didn't want it, that Bluegreen would buy our points back. Not true!

AuthorThese have been sent to Bluegreen directly. They will also be submitted as a unified group. Please show them Platinum owners ARE impacted and do not agree. We need unlimited cancellations restored. They said 93% of us don't use 10, so we don't need unlimited. Submit as many comments as you would like CLICK HERE.
